The FBF 's information mission

23 april 2012

In order to clear up the misunderstandings and avoid any confusion, French banks decided to publish a collective communication underscoring the dedication and commitment of their 400,000 employees, hard at work for the French people. Dubbed the "Parlons de la banque et parlons-en vraiment" communication (Let's talk about banks - And let's get serious), a full page article was published in the press in December 2010 and July 2011.

Information and sharing the experiences with member banks

In 2011, the FBF organised more than 25 conference-debates for bank employees on industry issues. These events enabled around 3,000 bankers to acquire information and talk with specialists. The FBF also runs an Extranet site for bank employees.

More than 100 banking committees in the field

The FBF is represented by a network of 106 commitees which work actively on issues bearing on the financing of the economy and relations with VSEs/SMEs. In order to inform young people about different jobs in the banking profession, the committees organised four forums in 2011 in Lille, Reims, Montpellier and Dijon. The committees also take part in numerous job fairs and vocational discovery sessions for secondary school students. In conjunction with the "Keys to Banking" programme, the committees continue to pursue their partnerships with the towns of Lille and Avignon, and in the Yvelines department to encourage the integration of young people into the world of work.

“Keys to Banking”: a public information centre

Developed by the FBF's Banking Information Centre, the financial education programme "Keys to Banking" promotes the understanding of banking mechanisms in order to help the public (individuals, professionals, young people) durably manage its relationship with the bank. In order to reach the most vulnerable people, the programme is also aimed at social players. The FBF makes its teaching aids - the Lescledelabanque.com website or the collection of practical mini-guides - available to the largest number of people.
